Velo is an intelligent ebike and app that senses its environment, where you go, and how you move—then uses that information to optimize your tranportion needs.
Urbanization in the world is accelerating. Today, over 50% of the country lives in urban cities and it is estimated to to grow to over 85% in 2020. Currently, in urban areas traffic speeds are below 20 mph. As urbanization increases, driving as a method of commuting will become impractical.

Velo is a vehicle that takes a holistic approach to urban transportation. The Velo ebike is a computer on wheels, that will effortlessly take you wherever you need to go. The ebike will efficiently route you, and learn your from trips to suggest new destinations. The app displays your range, estimated time of arrival, and delivers insights that keep you moving forward.

BASELINE TECHNOLOGY
Velo-1 will come with the following baseline technologies:
Human-Machine Interface
Your smartphone, or BLE enabled watch, becomes a human machine interface (HMI). This app dashboard displays important metrics like: speed, battery state of charge, and estimated time of arrival.
Velo Controller

The Brain houses a custom controller that will be able to communicate with all the powertrain components of the bicycle.

Experience
Clean user experience means getting rid of control knobs for throttle and shifting. The Velo brain automates as much as you let it.
